Fran was a knowledgeable and delightful tour guide. The food was amazing! We especially enjoyed the biscuit sandwiches at Vivian Howard’s and the shrimp and crab dip at TBonz. Yum!

Tour guide brought everything back to herself, all stops were touristy and lots of dead time sitting around waiting.

This is my 3rd food tour w/ Viator. The first 2 were guided by locals. This one wasn’t and it does feel different. This was more like going from point A to point B and given a brief description of the food. Two previous ones in Miami and St Louis felt more like an intro to the people, the history and the culinary culture of the locality . Don’t get me wrong, our guide was very personable but she knew little about the area and it’s restaurants. Also, I didn’t live being taken to a chain restaurant, even though the food was good.

Our guide was wonderful and very informative. The food very good, but would have preferred a breakfast spot at a local restaurant ,rather than a chain(Broken Egg).

Our tour guide, Fran, was absolutely charming, full of knowledge and has a true passion for everything Charleston. The food was very generous at each tasting and all the food was fabulous! Each tasting comes with tea, coffee or soda so you can stay hydrated between walking to each restaurant. Ask for Fran to be your guide. She is truly fabulous!

I really enjoyed our guide. She entertained and informed us with juicy little tidbits about the history of Charleston and the food that was popular. We learned how rice played such an important role in the economy and the molding of the population and culture of Charleston.
